Community Living at 9 The Crescent, Limerick.
Our Georgian Community Living concept balances the need for modern living where you can live, work, and play together while also providing for private individual spaces. Our historic Georgian Rooms are tastefully designed, fully furnished, with incidentals and utilities covered by one bill. Catering to various living styles and tastes, the main value of the experience is access to your new community, right in the heart of the city.
Georgian Community Living
No person is an island. As we designed our Georgian Living @TheCrescent we designed around community. Our original concept has proven well adapted for new post COVID preferences of remote working combined with the need for more private space.
Nestled between our self-contained apartments and the coach house used by a local band for practice sessions, at the back of #8, is an urban oasis of a garden complete with bird feeders and in which the residents can socialise and also grow plants and herbs and some edibles like rhubarb.
In our Georgian Residence at #9, there are ample places for people to live, work and relax together or in private. A library for quiet reading, rooms to use for lunches or dinners with visiting friends, for board games or guitar practice with other occupants of the building, a large kitchen for shared meals and even shared cooking and a sunny urban garden perfect for our transition from Covid-19 pandemic social distancing to normality during 2021.
Private Living Spaces
Each of our fully furnished en-suite private rooms offers flexible and functional space with ample storage. The decor is contemporary but each room is illuminated by large Georgian windows which flood the space with natural light during the day and offer views over Georgian Limerick at night.
The rooms have been custom designed to optimise multifunctional furniture so as to provide comfortable areas for light food preparation, living, working and sleeping, with its own private en-suite shower and a fully equipped kitchenette
All utilities such as heating, electricity, water, and wifi are bundled into the overall monthly charges.
Working Spaces
For those who want a quiet private work space, each private unit has adequate space for deskwork and wifi and charging points. The larger rooms have their own purpose desk, some in separate mezzanines so work can be truly left behind on Fridays.
For those who prefer to work in a communal atmosphere, the private library and the media room facilitate quiet study or group-work (including video conferencing on the large screen). Of course, any of the common spaces if free present alternative space for a change of scenery or a casual coffee-meeting with a work colleague. The garden has even been used for socially distanced an fresco breakfast meetings.
#9 The Crescent, comes with high speed broadband and charging points throughout the building and in the garden.
Outdoor Garden Spaces
Life @TheCrescent is not restricted to within the building itself but rather extends to a thoughtfully designed outdoor engagement spaces. In a post Covid-9 world, we have all learned the value and importance of “living” outdoors space ever more. In 2022, we hope to do even more to enhance the outdoor spaces to the rear and those in the front including the historic coal bunker.
But already in 2021, at #8, the communal garden is in full bloom and the birds have become frequent visitors after a winter of careful feeding. At #9. we have a large outdoor garden to the rear and a smaller upper terrace already ready for use. It provides a space to chill or even exercise and plenty of room for bike storage. Residents can even try their hands at growing herbs and vegetables in the raised beds. For those who fear urban living without good outdoor options, these are perfect areas for residents to come together for small gatherings of friends or just as a space to chill with other residents after a hard day’s work
